Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Boats at Newport #2 by Raimonds Staprans was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in October 2021. The price achieved of USD 10,080.00 (€ 8,725.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Raimonds Staprans achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Morning Mist, 1986 in September last year with an auction result of USD 189,375.00 (€ 193,575.59).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Boats at Newport #2 von Raimonds Staprans kam im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.080,00 (€ 8.725,76) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Raimonds Staprans erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Morning Mist, 1986 im September letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 189.375,00 (€ 193.575,59).
