Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2007 Sothebys in London held the auction 19th Century Paintings including Spanish Painting and Symbolism & the Poetic Vision, which included the work Spancapea (Bullfight) by Rafael Durancamps. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 17,300.00 (€ 24,224.48), 15% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rafael Durancamps - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Capea, which sold at auction in October 2006 for EUR 50,400.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2007 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 19th Century Paintings including Spanish Painting and Symbolism & the Poetic Vision durch, in der auch die Arbeit Spancapea (Bullfight) von Rafael Durancamps zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 17.300,00 (€ 24.224,48) und damit 15% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Rafael Durancamps mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Capea beobachtet, die im Oktober 2006 für EUR 50.400,00 versteigert wurde.
