The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,800.00 (€ 7,122.96), 60% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Rafael Durancamps have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Capea in October 2006 with an auction result of EUR 50,400.00.

Die Arbeit Bodegón con jarra y pincel (Still life with a jug and paintbrush) von Rafael Durancamps wurde im Juni 2007 in der Auktion 19th Century European Art, including Spanish and Orientalist Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 4.800,00 (€ 7.122,96) und damit 60% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rafael Durancamps auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Capea im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 50.400,00.
