Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Still Life Of Flowers In A Glass Vase On A Marble Ledge by Rachel Ruysch was sold in the Old Masters Day Sale auction at Sothebys in London in July 2019. The price achieved of GBP 125,000.00 (€ 137,241.69) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rachel Ruysch achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still Life Of Roses, Tulips, A Sunflower And Other Flowers In A Glass Vase With A Bee, Butterfly And Other Insects Upon A Marble Ledge in July 2013 with an auction result of GBP 1,650,500.00 (€ 1,885,983.93).

Die Arbeit Still Life Of Flowers In A Glass Vase On A Marble Ledge von Rachel Ruysch wurde im Juli 2019 in der Auktion Old Masters Day Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 125.000,00 (€ 137.241,69) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rachel Ruysch erzielen.
