Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Rachel Ruysch achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in December 2021. In the Old Masters Evening Sale auction, the work Still life of a tulip and other flowers with a melon upon a ledge sold for GBP 390,100.00 (€ 465,307.47) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Rachel Ruysch have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Still Life Of Roses, Tulips, A Sunflower And Other Flowers In A Glass Vase With A Bee, Butterfly And Other Insects Upon A Marble Ledge in July 2013 with an auction result of GBP 1,650,500.00 (€ 1,885,983.93).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Rachel Ruysch erzielte im Dezember 2021 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Masters Evening Sale wurde die Arbeit Still life of a tulip and other flowers with a melon upon a ledge für GBP 390.100,00 (€ 465.307,47) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 150.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rachel Ruysch auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Still Life Of Roses, Tulips, A Sunflower And Other Flowers In A Glass Vase With A Bee, Butterfly And Other Insects Upon A Marble Ledge im Juli 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.650.500,00 (€ 1.885.983,93).
