This artwork by Rachel Ruysch achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in December 2019. In the Old Masters Day Sale auction, the work Still Life Of A Thistle Between Carnations And Cornflowers On A Mossy Forest Floor, With Butterflies And A Cricket sold for GBP 237,500.00 (€ 280,697.20) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 100,000.00. Admittedly, works by Rachel Ruysch have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Still Life Of Roses, Tulips, A Sunflower And Other Flowers In A Glass Vase With A Bee, Butterfly And Other Insects Upon A Marble Ledge in July 2013 with an auction result of GBP 1,650,500.00 (€ 1,885,983.93).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Rachel Ruysch erzielte im Dezember 2019 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Masters Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Still Life Of A Thistle Between Carnations And Cornflowers On A Mossy Forest Floor, With Butterflies And A Cricket für GBP 237.500,00 (€ 280.697,20) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 100.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rachel Ruysch auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Still Life Of Roses, Tulips, A Sunflower And Other Flowers In A Glass Vase With A Bee, Butterfly And Other Insects Upon A Marble Ledge im Juli 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.650.500,00 (€ 1.885.983,93).
