Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by R. H. Quaytman achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in March 2021. In the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction, the work T, Chapter 24 sold for GBP 40,320.00 (€ 47,365.61) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by R. H. Quaytman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Constructivismes, Chapter 13 in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 578,500.00 (€ 815,677.74).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von R. H. Quaytman erzielte im März 2021 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction wurde die Arbeit T, Chapter 24 für GBP 40.320,00 (€ 47.365,61) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 18.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von R. H. Quaytman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Constructivismes, Chapter 13 im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 578.500,00 (€ 815.677,74).
