Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work T, Chapter 24 by R. H. Quaytman for GBP 17,500.00 (€ 19,519.92). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Day Sale at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by R. H. Quaytman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Constructivismes, Chapter 13 in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 578,500.00 (€ 815,677.74).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit T, Chapter 24 von R. H. Quaytman für GBP 17.500,00 (€ 19.519,92) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von R. H. Quaytman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Constructivismes, Chapter 13 im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 578.500,00 (€ 815.677,74).
