The work Cherchez Holopherne, Chapter 21 by R. H. Quaytman was auctioned at Christies in New York in July 2020. The result of USD 50,000.00 (€ 42,466.45) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by R. H. Quaytman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Constructivismes, Chapter 13 in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 578,500.00 (€ 815,677.74).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Cherchez Holopherne, Chapter 21 von R. H. Quaytman kam im Juli 2020 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 42.466,45) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von R. H. Quaytman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Constructivismes, Chapter 13 im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 578.500,00 (€ 815.677,74).
