Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2021 Phillips in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale in Association with Poly Auction, which included the work Kill Mini Me by Qu Guangci. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 107,100.00 (€ 11,908.43) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Qu Guangci have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Last Supper in October 2007 with an auction result of HKD 1,027,500.00 (€ 91,614.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2021 führte Phillips in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale in Association with Poly Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Kill Mini Me von Qu Guangci zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 107.100,00 (€ 11.908,43) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Qu Guangci auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Last Supper im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.027.500,00 (€ 91.614,25).
