This artwork by Qu Guangci achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in September 2007. In the Contemporary Art Asia: China, Korea, Japan auction, the work Stand At The Knoll sold for USD 97,000.00 (€ 68,218.58) - well above the upper estimate of USD 55,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Qu Guangci; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Last Supper sold at auction in October 2007 with the realized price of HKD 1,027,500.00 (€ 91,614.25).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Qu Guangci erzielte im September 2007 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Asia: China, Korea, Japan wurde die Arbeit Stand At The Knoll für USD 97.000,00 (€ 68.218,58) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 55.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Qu Guangci; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Last Supper im Oktober 2007 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 1.027.500,00 (€ 91.614,25).
