Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2008 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Chinese Art, which included the work Even The Incompetent Can Succeed by Qu Guangci. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 200,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 225,000.00 (€ 22,886.77). Admittedly, works by Qu Guangci have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Last Supper in October 2007 with an auction result of HKD 1,027,500.00 (€ 91,614.25).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2008 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Chinese Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Even The Incompetent Can Succeed von Qu Guangci zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 200.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 225.000,00 (€ 22.886,77) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Qu Guangci auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Last Supper im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.027.500,00 (€ 91.614,25).
