The work Gazebo by Qiu Xiaofei was sold in the Contemporary Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2015. It achieved a price of HKD 500,000.00 (€ 57,785.34), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. Admittedly, works by Qiu Xiaofei have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Desolate Wood in May 2014 with an auction result of HKD 4,240,000.00 (€ 400,997.07).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Gazebo von Qiu Xiaofei wurde im April 2015 in der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 500.000,00 (€ 57.785,34) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Qiu Xiaofei auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Desolate Wood im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.240.000,00 (€ 400.997,07).
