This artwork by Qiu Xiaofei achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November this year. In the Post-Millennium Evening Sale, a Collab with Jay Chou auction, the work Zero Gravity No. 4 sold for HKD 2,205,000.00 (€ 258,745.87) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 800,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Qiu Xiaofei; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Desolate Wood sold at auction in May 2014 with the realized price of HKD 4,240,000.00 (€ 400,997.07).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Qiu Xiaofei erzielte im November diesen Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-Millennium Evening Sale, a Collab with Jay Chou wurde die Arbeit Zero Gravity No. 4 für HKD 2.205.000,00 (€ 258.745,87) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 800.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Qiu Xiaofei; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Desolate Wood im Mai 2014 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 4.240.000,00 (€ 400.997,07).
