Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Marine Prodigy by Qiu Xiaofei was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2020. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 700,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 781,200.00 (€ 86,524.26). Admittedly, works by Qiu Xiaofei have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Desolate Wood in May 2014 with an auction result of HKD 4,240,000.00 (€ 400,997.07).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Marine Prodigy von Qiu Xiaofei wurde im Oktober 2020 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 700.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 781.200,00 (€ 86.524,26) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Qiu Xiaofei auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Desolate Wood im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.240.000,00 (€ 400.997,07).
