In May last year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online, which included the work Guanyin by Qian Huafo. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 52,920.00 (€ 6,282.74), 32% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Qian Huafo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Buddha, which sold at auction in April 2018 for HKD 153,400.00 (€ 16,186.15).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 32 % übertroffen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Guanyin von Qian Huafo zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 52.920,00 (€ 6.282,74) und damit 32% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Qian Huafo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Buddha beobachtet, die im April 2018 für HKD 153.400,00 (€ 16.186,15) versteigert wurde.
