This work without title by Purvis Young was sold in the First Open auction at Christies in New York in August 2020. It achieved a price of USD 16,250.00 (€ 13,614.28), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 63%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Purvis Young - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work People with Halos Above City, 1973, which sold at auction in January 2020 for USD 43,750.00 (€ 39,439.29).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Purvis Young wurde im August 2020 in der Auktion First Open bei Christies in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 16.250,00 (€ 13.614,28) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 63%. Für andere Arbeiten von Purvis Young mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit People with Halos Above City, 1973 beobachtet, die im Januar 2020 für USD 43.750,00 (€ 39.439,29) versteigert wurde.
