Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Radiation Of The Moon by Prabhakar Barwe for USD 46,600.00 (€ 29,484.34). This price was achieved in the auction Indian Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Prabhakar Barwe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Chess-Board in September 2020 with an auction result of GBP 302,400.00 (€ 333,445.16).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Radiation Of The Moon von Prabhakar Barwe für USD 46.600,00 (€ 29.484,34) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Indian Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Prabhakar Barwe erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Chess-Board im September 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 302.400,00 (€ 333.445,16).
