Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Two Apples by Prabhakar Barwe was sold in the The India Sale auction at Christies in Mumbai in December 2015. The price achieved of INR 250,000.00 (€ 3,476.38) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as INR 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Prabhakar Barwe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Chess-Board in September 2020 with an auction result of GBP 302,400.00 (€ 333,445.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Two Apples von Prabhakar Barwe wurde im Dezember 2015 in der Auktion The India Sale bei Christies in Mumbai versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von INR 250.000,00 (€ 3.476,38) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit INR 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Prabhakar Barwe erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Chess-Board im September 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 302.400,00 (€ 333.445,16).
