Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Circular Oneness by Prabhakar Barwe was auctioned at Sothebys in London in October 2017. It changed hands for a price of GBP 47,500.00 (€ 54,159.30) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Prabhakar Barwe have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Chess-Board in September 2020 with an auction result of GBP 302,400.00 (€ 333,445.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Circular Oneness von Prabhakar Barwe kam im Oktober 2017 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 47.500,00 (€ 54.159,30) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Prabhakar Barwe auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Chess-Board im September 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 302.400,00 (€ 333.445,16).
