It achieved a price of GBP 499,000.00 (€ 557,427.47), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pompeo Batoni achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Susanna And The Elders in February 2013 with an auction result of USD 11,394,500.00 (€ 8,712,057.50).
