This artwork by Pompeo Batoni achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in September 2019. In the Old Master and British Works on Paper Online auction, the work The Infant Hercules Strangling The Snakes Sent By Juno And A Study Of A Foot sold for GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,231.43) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pompeo Batoni achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Susanna And The Elders in February 2013 with an auction result of USD 11,394,500.00 (€ 8,712,057.50).

In der Auktion Old Master and British Works on Paper Online wurde die Arbeit The Infant Hercules Strangling The Snakes Sent By Juno And A Study Of A Foot für GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.231,43) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00.
