In December 2003 Christies in Rome held the auction ARTE DEL XIX SECOLO, which included the work Sentiero nel parco by Pio Joris. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 1,984.00 65% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pio Joris achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Veduta del Colosseo e del Palatino in November 2010 with an auction result of EUR 76,400.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 65 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2003 führte Christies in Rom die Auktion ARTE DEL XIX SECOLO durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sentiero nel parco von Pio Joris zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 1.984,00 und damit 65% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pio Joris erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Veduta del Colosseo e del Palatino im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 76.400,00.
