Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2008 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Pictures,Watercolours and Drawings, which included the work A reclining nude by Pio Joris. The price achieved of EUR 3,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pio Joris achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Veduta del Colosseo e del Palatino in November 2010 with an auction result of EUR 76,400.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2008 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Pictures,Watercolours and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A reclining nude von Pio Joris zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 3.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pio Joris erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Veduta del Colosseo e del Palatino im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 76.400,00.
