Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Roma, interno di San Pietro by Pio Joris was sold in the ARTE DEL XIX SECOLO auction at Christies in Rome in November 2005. The price achieved of EUR 3,100.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pio Joris achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Veduta del Colosseo e del Palatino in November 2010 with an auction result of EUR 76,400.00.

Die Arbeit Roma, interno di San Pietro von Pio Joris wurde im November 2005 in der Auktion ARTE DEL XIX SECOLO bei Christies in Rom versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 3.100,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pio Joris erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Veduta del Colosseo e del Palatino im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 76.400,00.
