This price was achieved in the auction Old Master Paintings at Bonhams in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 10,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pietro della Vecchia - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Man Drawing A Sword, which sold at auction in February 2013 for USD 182,500.00 (€ 139,536.66).
