Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2017 Christies in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings, which included the work Jupiter and Samele by Pietro della Vecchia. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 31,250.00 (€ 36,621.92). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pietro della Vecchia - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Man Drawing A Sword, which sold at auction in February 2013 for USD 182,500.00 (€ 139,536.66).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2017 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master & British Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Jupiter and Samele von Pietro della Vecchia zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 31.250,00 (€ 36.621,92) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Pietro della Vecchia mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Man Drawing A Sword beobachtet, die im Februar 2013 für USD 182.500,00 (€ 139.536,66) versteigert wurde.
