Auction result misses estimated price range

In July 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Christ and the Woman Taken in Adultery by Pietro della Vecchia for GBP 18,750.00 (€ 20,586.25). This price was achieved in the auction Old Masters Day Sale at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Pietro della Vecchia have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Man Drawing A Sword in February 2013 with an auction result of USD 182,500.00 (€ 139,536.66).

Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne

Im Juli 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Christ and the Woman Taken in Adultery von Pietro della Vecchia für GBP 18.750,00 (€ 20.586,25) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Masters Day Sale bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pietro della Vecchia auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Man Drawing A Sword im Februar 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 182.500,00 (€ 139.536,66).
