Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Rat-Catcher by Pieter de Bloot was sold in the Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale auction at Sothebys in London in July 2012. The price achieved of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 12,737.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pieter de Bloot achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Peasants making merry outside an inn in November 2012 with an auction result of EUR 169,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Rat-Catcher von Pieter de Bloot wurde im Juli 2012 in der Auktion Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 12.737,31) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pieter de Bloot erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Peasants making merry outside an inn im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 169.000,00.
