Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Pieter de Bloot achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in May 2017. In the Old Masters auction, the work A Pedlar And An Old Woman sold for GBP 23,750.00 (€ 27,277.83) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Pieter de Bloot have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Peasants making merry outside an inn in November 2012 with an auction result of EUR 169,000.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Pieter de Bloot erzielte im Mai 2017 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Masters wurde die Arbeit A Pedlar And An Old Woman für GBP 23.750,00 (€ 27.277,83) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pieter de Bloot auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Peasants making merry outside an inn im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 169.000,00.
