Here, the upper estimate of EUR 10,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 10,710.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pieter de Bloot achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Peasants making merry outside an inn in November 2012 with an auction result of EUR 169,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit A wooded river landscape with figures resting by a tree on the river bank, a ferry with a horseman and fishermen hauling in their nets beyond von Pieter de Bloot wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres in der Auktion Made in Holland: Celebrating 50 Years of Christie’s Amsterdam bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 10.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 10.710,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pieter de Bloot erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Peasants making merry outside an inn im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 169.000,00.
