Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Pieter Coecke van Aelst achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in December 2010. In the Old Master Prints auction, the work Customs and Fashions of the Turks ('Les Moeurs et fachons de faire de Turcs avecq' les Regions y appartenantes...')(Holl. 4) sold for GBP 43,250.00 (€ 50,169.87) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pieter Coecke van Aelst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A triptych: The Nativity, The Adoration of the Magi, The Presentation in the Temple in January 2021 with an auction result of USD 3,166,000.00 (€ 2,608,982.28).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Pieter Coecke van Aelst erzielte im Dezember 2010 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master Prints wurde die Arbeit Customs and Fashions of the Turks ('Les Moeurs et fachons de faire de Turcs avecq' les Regions y appartenantes...')(Holl. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A triptych: The Nativity, The Adoration of the Magi, The Presentation in the Temple im Januar 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.166.000,00 (€ 2.608.982,28).
