In December last year Christies in London held the auction Old Master Paintings and Sculpture, which included the work Card players in an interior by Pieter Codde. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 37,800.00 (€ 42,672.52), 26% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Pieter Codde have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Family Portrait With Husband, Wife And Two Daughters Seated At A Table Draped In Red Cloth, A Son Playing A Lute, Another Son Holding A Fiddle Beside A Lady Playing The Virginal, A Maidservant Pouring Wine By The Window, And A Dog Resting On The Floor in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 245,000.00 (€ 347,

Im Dezember letzten Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master Paintings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Card players in an interior von Pieter Codde zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 37.800,00 (€ 42.672,52) und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pieter Codde auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Family Portrait With Husband, Wife And Two Daughters Seated At A Table Draped In Red Cloth, A Son Playing A Lute, Another Son Holding A Fiddle Beside A Lady Playing The Virginal, A Maidservant Pouring Wine By The Window, And A Dog Resting On The Floor im Juli 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 245.000,00 (€ 347.327,71).
