Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait Of A Man, Half-Length, Holding A Scroll by Pieter Codde was sold in the Old Masters including Portrait Miniatures from the Pohl-Ströher Collection auction at Sothebys in London in May 2020. The price achieved of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,101.10) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pieter Codde achieve. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.101,10) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden.
