Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2015 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Masters & 19th CenturyArt - (including Dutch Impressionism), which included the work A Group Portrait Of An Elegant Family And A Company Dancing, Conversing And Making Music In An Interior by Pieter Codde. The price achieved of EUR 85,500.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 70,000.00 – 100,000.00. Admittedly, works by Pieter Codde have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Family Portrait With Husband, Wife And Two Daughters Seated At A Table Draped In Red Cloth, A Son Playing A Lute, Another Son Holding A Fiddle Beside A Lady Playing The Virginal, A Maidservant Pouring Wine By The Window, And A Dog Resting On The Floor in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 245,000.00 (€ 347,
