Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2010 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Old Masters and 19th Century Paintings and Drawings, which included the work Vue D'Un Rivage Méditérranéen Animé De Pêcheurs by Pierre-Jacques Volaire. It changed hands for a price of EUR 42,750.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 35,000.00 – 45,000.00. Admittedly, works by Pierre-Jacques Volaire have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Vesuvius erupting at night seen from the foothills, with elegant onlookers, a view of the Bay of Naples beyond in July 2005 with an auction result of GBP 142,400.00 (€ 206,549.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2010 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Old Masters and 19th Century Paintings and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Vue D'Un Rivage Méditérranéen Animé De Pêcheurs von Pierre-Jacques Volaire zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 42.750,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 35.000,00 – 45.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pierre-Jacques Volaire auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Vesuvius erupting at night seen from the foothills, with elegant onlookers, a view of the Bay of Naples beyond im Juli 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 142.400,00 (€ 206.549,86).
