Auction result well in line with expectations
The work View of a harbour with fishermen hauling up nets, and a watchtower on a promontory by Pierre-Jacques Volaire was sold in the Old Master and 19th Century Drawings auction at Christies in London in July 2007. The price achieved of GBP 3,600.00 (€ 5,346.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pierre-Jacques Volaire achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Vesuvius erupting at night seen from the foothills, with elegant onlookers, a view of the Bay of Naples beyond in July 2005 with an auction result of GBP 142,400.00 (€ 206,549.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit View of a harbour with fishermen hauling up nets, and a watchtower on a promontory von Pierre-Jacques Volaire wurde im Juli 2007 in der Auktion Old Master and 19th Century Drawings bei Christies in London versteigert. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Vesuvius erupting at night seen from the foothills, with elegant onlookers, a view of the Bay of Naples beyond im Juli 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 142.400,00 (€ 206.549,86).
