This artwork by Pierre Eugène Montézin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in October 2021. In the Impressionist and Modern Art Online auction, the work Chemin de halage sold for GBP 21,420.00 (€ 25,376.91) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Pierre Eugène Montézin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Nymphéas in March last year with an auction result of EUR 214,200.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Pierre Eugène Montézin erzielte im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Online wurde die Arbeit Chemin de halage für GBP 21.420,00 (€ 25.376,91) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pierre Eugène Montézin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Nymphéas im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 214.200,00.
