However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pierre Adolphe Valette - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hansom Cab, Manchester, which sold at auction in December 2011 for GBP 20,000.00 (€ 23,952.83).

Die Arbeit Still life with bread and wine von Pierre Adolphe Valette kam im Dezember 2011 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 11.227,89) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 56%. Für andere Arbeiten von Pierre Adolphe Valette mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Hansom Cab, Manchester beobachtet, die im Dezember 2011 für GBP 20.000,00 (€ 23.952,83) versteigert wurde.
