In the Impressionist and Modern Art including Russian and Latin American Art auction, the work Paesaggio (From Il Gattopardo) sold for USD 23,750.00 (€ 15,638.37) - well above the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Piero Guccione - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Siepe e albero prima del tramonto, which sold at auction in May 2001 for ITL 56,350,000.00 (€ 53,317.56).
