This artwork by Piero Guccione achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in February 2008. In the Impressionist and Modern Art including Russian and Latin American Art auction, the work Paesaggio (From Il Gattopardo) sold for USD 23,750.00 (€ 15,638.37) - well above the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Piero Guccione - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Siepe e albero prima del tramonto, which sold at auction in May 2001 for ITL 56,350,000.00 (€ 53,317.56).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 98 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Piero Guccione erzielte im Februar 2008 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art including Russian and Latin American Art wurde die Arbeit Paesaggio (From Il Gattopardo) für USD 23.750,00 (€ 15.638,37) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Piero Guccione mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Siepe e albero prima del tramonto beobachtet, die im Mai 2001 für ITL 56.350.000,00 (€ 53.317,56) versteigert wurde.
