Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cocomeri E Angurie by Piero Gilardi was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Art auction at Sothebys in Milan in May 2011. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 30,000.00 – 40,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 30,750.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Piero Gilardi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Trilite spezzato, which sold at auction in April 2017 for EUR 98,688.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Cocomeri E Angurie von Piero Gilardi wurde im Mai 2011 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Art bei Sothebys in Mailand versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 30.750,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Piero Gilardi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Trilite spezzato beobachtet, die im April 2017 für EUR 98.688,00 versteigert wurde.
