A top price for Phyllis Galembo - as previously expected
The work Egungun, Bohican, Benin, 2006 by Phyllis Galembo was auctioned at Christies in London in October this year. The price achieved of USD 3,780.00 (€ 3,576.84) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Egungun, Bohican, Benin, 2006 is the most expensive artwork by Phyllis Galembo that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Egungun, Bohican, Benin, 2006 von Phyllis Galembo kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.780,00 (€ 3.576,84) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Egungun, Bohican, Benin, 2006 das teuerste Kunstwerk von Phyllis Galembo, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
