This artwork by Philip R. Goodwin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in October 2007. In the American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture auction, the work The Winter Hunt sold for USD 85,000.00 (€ 58,750.35) - well above the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Philip R. Goodwin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Northwood King--Calling the Moose in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 269,000.00 (€ 244,678.92).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Philip R. Goodwin erzielte im Oktober 2007 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture wurde die Arbeit The Winter Hunt für USD 85.000,00 (€ 58.750,35) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Philip R. Goodwin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Northwood King--Calling the Moose im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 269.000,00 (€ 244.678,92).
