In May 2015 Christies in New York held the auction Visions of the West: American Paintings from the William I. Koch Collection, which included the work An Interrupted Duel by Philip R. Goodwin. The »bidding war« ended at USD 125,000.00 (€ 113,698.38), 56% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Philip R. Goodwin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Northwood King--Calling the Moose, which sold at auction in May 2015 for USD 269,000.00 (€ 244,678.92).

Im Mai 2015 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Visions of the West: American Paintings from the William I. Koch Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit An Interrupted Duel von Philip R. Goodwin zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 125.000,00 (€ 113.698,38) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Philip R. Goodwin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Northwood King--Calling the Moose beobachtet, die im Mai 2015 für USD 269.000,00 (€ 244.678,92) versteigert wurde.
