Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Native figure on horseback observing a wagon train by Philip R. Goodwin was sold in the Western Art auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in April last year. The price achieved of USD 2,805.00 (€ 2,662.05) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Philip R. Goodwin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Northwood King--Calling the Moose in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 269,000.00 (€ 244,678.92).
