Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Christ Preaching In The Wilderness by Philips Koninck was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2015. The price achieved of GBP 9,375.00 (€ 13,290.60) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Philips Koninck achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A woodland landscape with a cottage and figures in October 2019 with an auction result of USD 262,500.00 (€ 235,320.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Christ Preaching In The Wilderness von Philips Koninck kam im Juli 2015 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 13.290,60) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Philips Koninck erzielen.
