In the Old Master and British Paintings Evening Sale auction, the work A Woodland Scene With A Cottage And Figures changed hands for GBP 85,250.00 (€ 102,098.92) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Philips Koninck - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A woodland landscape with a cottage and figures, which sold at auction in October 2019 for USD 262,500.00 (€ 235,320.48).
