Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Philips Koninck could be acquired at Sothebys in London in December 2011 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master and British Paintings Evening Sale auction, the work A Woodland Scene With A Cottage And Figures changed hands for GBP 85,250.00 (€ 102,098.92) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Philips Koninck - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A woodland landscape with a cottage and figures, which sold at auction in October 2019 for USD 262,500.00 (€ 235,320.48).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
