Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Philips Koninck could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in January 2012 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Important Old Master Paintings and Sculpture auction, the work Seated Hunter In A Tavern changed hands for USD 22,500.00 (€ 17,237.42) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Philips Koninck achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A woodland landscape with a cottage and figures in October 2019 with an auction result of USD 262,500.00 (€ 235,320.48).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Philips Koninck konnte im Januar 2012 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Important Old Master Paintings and Sculpture wechselte die Arbeit Seated Hunter In A Tavern für USD 22.500,00 (€ 17.237,42) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00.
