Auction result well in line with expectations
In October this year Phillips in London held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included this untitled work by Philippe Vandenberg. The price achieved of GBP 17,780.00 (€ 20,416.38) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Philippe Vandenberg - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sans Titre - 1987, which sold at auction in July 2020 for EUR 52,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Phillips in London die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Philippe Vandenberg zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 17.780,00 (€ 20.416,38) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Philippe Vandenberg mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sans Titre - 1987 beobachtet, die im Juli 2020 für EUR 52.000,00 versteigert wurde.
