This artwork by Philippe Vandenberg achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in April 2015. In the Post-War and Contemporary auction, the work Episch Schilderij sold for EUR 15,000.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Philippe Vandenberg - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sans Titre - 1987, which sold at auction in July 2020 for EUR 52,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 88 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Philippe Vandenberg erzielte im April 2015 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary wurde die Arbeit Episch Schilderij für EUR 15.000,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Philippe Vandenberg mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sans Titre - 1987 beobachtet, die im Juli 2020 für EUR 52.000,00 versteigert wurde.
